Christmas Pretzel Sugar Cookies Recipe Ingredients
-2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
-1 teaspoon baking soda
-1/2 teaspoon baking powder
-1 cup butter, softened
-1 1/2 cups white sugar
-1 egg
-1 teaspoon vanilla extract
-Fatty Sundays Christmas Sprinkles, broken into chunks
Christmas Pretzel Sugar Cookies Recipe Directions
-Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. In a small bowl, blend flour, baking soda, and baking powder. Set aside.
-In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until smooth. Beat in egg and vanilla. -Gradually blend in the dry ingredients. Roll rounded teaspoonfuls of dough into balls, and place onto baking sheets.
-Bake 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven, or until golden.
-While the cookies are still warm, place a broken Peppermint pretzel piece (about a 1 inch piece) in the center of each cookie.
-Let stand for a few minutes before removing to cool on wire racks.
