Cupid’s Dark Chocolate Covered Strawberries

First thing’s first...there’s no oven needed for this recipe. These sweet treats take just a few minutes to make, require only three ingredients, and involve very little clean up. Now how does that sound?!

We love a good fruit and chocolate flavor combo, and Valentine’s Day just screams for strawberries. So for the day of love we made dark chocolate covered strawberries, rolled in chopped pieces of our festive Valentine’s Day Sprinkles pretzels. You and your Valentine will fall head over heels for this super pretty dessert!

Cupid’s Chocolate Covered Strawberries Recipe Ingredients

-1 carton of strawberries with stems, washed and dried
-1 bag of dark chocolate chips, for melting
-Fatty Sundays Valentine’s Day Gift Box, pretzels chopped up into fine pieces

Cupid’s Chocolate Covered Strawberries Recipe Directions

-Place washed and dried strawberries (with stems) in a bowl, set aside.
-Chop up the Valentine’s Day Sprinkles pretzels into fine pieces, place in a bowl and set aside.
-Use a double boiler to melt the dark chocolate chips. Fill a medium saucepan with a couple inches of water and bring to a simmer over medium heat. Place the second saucepan over the water, with the chips inside. Constantly stir the chocolate as it melts to prevent scorching. Once smooth, place the melted chocolate into a bowl.
-Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Holding the strawberry by the stem, dip it into the dark chocolate, lift and twist to let excess chocolate fall back into the bowl. Then roll the strawberry in the pretzel pieces for a full coat of topping. Place the strawberry on the parchment paper. Repeat with the rest of the strawberries.
-Place your strawberries in the fridge for an hour to set the chocolate, then enjoy!
