Spring Into Easter With Our Chocolate Cake Recipe
Easter is just around the corner, and we have the perfect treat for your celebrations. We made a decadent chocolate cake lined and decorated with our Easter Sprinkles Pretzels, and it’s a must-have dessert for your Easter party. Here’s the recipe:
Easter Chocolate Cake Recipe Ingredients and Directions
Cake
-1 cup self raising flour
-1/2 cup cocoa powder
-1 cup caster sugar
-2 eggs
-1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
-1/4 cup milk
-1/2 cup butter, melted, cooled
-Combine dry ingredients in one bowl, and wet ingredients in another. Whisk together. Pour into two 6 inch cake pans. Bake at 340 degrees for 30 minutes, or until a skewer comes out clean. Allow to cool completely before layering cakes.
Frosting
-8oz Philadelphia Cream Cheese
-3 cups of icing sugar
-8oz of white chocolate chips, melted, and cooled slightly
-1/4 cup of butter, at room temperature -dash of vanilla extract
-a small handful of raspberries (add extra until desired pink color is achieved)
-Fatty Sundays Easter Pretzels to decorate
-Beat all ingredients together, except the icing sugar, with an electric mixture. Fold in icing sugar until desired consistency.
-Spread across the first layer of the cake, sandwiching the two layers together. Then spread frosting atop the cake, and around the sides. Attach pretzels around the circumference of the cake with the frosting. Decorate with easter egg candy, and shredded coconut.
